SELAM ETHIOPIAN & ERITREAN CUISINE
A MICHELIN Guide Recommended business just down the road from SeaWorld Orlando is known as Selam. This wonderful restaurant is also owned by Selam, another co-owner. As well as her, Abraham is a co-owner. Selam learned how to cook from Abraham as a child in Ethiopia. The head chef here now is Selam, while Abraham enjoys entertaining guests.

Abraham had always dreamed of opening a restaurant. The original residence of his immigrant parent was California, where he had lived before he emigrated from Ethiopia. Visiting family in Orlando led to him deciding to move here and open Selam with his sister. With his guests, Abraham enjoys sharing the customs and traditions of his culture. In Selam, for instance, there is a traditional coffee ceremony with authentic seating at the back. I also ordered the Coffee Ceremony, Selam Meat and Vegetable Combination Special platter, and Beef Samosas.
SISTER HONEYS BAKERY
Why does Sister Honeys Bakery in Orlandos So Do District deserve its awards? Absolutely. In fact, I am eating one of their Magic Bars as I sit here typing this, and I just keep thinking wow after every bite. Evette Rahman, the owner, has won multiple world dessert championships. So, what is her secret? The answer is simple: love.

Evettes mother, whose nickname was Sister Honey, inspired this sweet bakery. In her mother's kitchen, Evette learned how to make sweets using only the finest ingredients, a tradition she continues at Sister Honey's today. We make every single item on site from scratch every day. You can taste the difference between something homemade and fresh when it is fresh.
Lake Nona Activities to Discover
Chef Pierre says the Chicken & Waffle Hot Mess and Steak n Steak Sandwich are the most popular dishes at Streetwise. I had to try both! Besides the waffles, there are cheesy herb waffles, which go perfectly with the chicken in Buffalo sauce and maple syrup. My favorite part was making my own bowl.
We use fresh ingredients from local purveyors, which certainly shows in the taste. Despite its reasonable price, the bowls offer a large portion. The pulled chicken was delicious in my bowl, and I could hardly contain myself. Streetwise offers a wonderful dining experience, as well as a great customer experience.
Discover Orlando's Eats & Drinks
The Mac and Cheese was always Turtons' top seller before opening World Famous House of Mac, and Pitbull and other chart-toppers tested the recipes before opening. Since Turtons' heritage is Trinidadian and West Indian, he starts with what they call a macaroni pie and then infuses it with other macaroni and cheese styles.
Macaroni and cheese dishes including buffalo chicken, pizza, chicken parmesan, cordon bleu, lobster, and seafood are available on their menu. Aside from macaroni, they also serve pizza, pasta, salmon, and burgers. Their wings are phenomenal. There is nothing like lemon flavor in wings, and I can't get enough of the lemon pepper wings. Additionally, I had Jerk Chicken Mac (10 / 10), Pizza Mac and cornbread. You will love how flavorful and loaded up this macaroni is. Visit this new business soon, because you won't regret it.
Banshee Fries consist of fried shrimp and lobster bites on top of French fries, topped with their secret brapp sauce, Asian zing and homemade cheese sauce. They combined for the perfect flavor and I couldn't stop eating them. There was no one else who shared this meal with me. In the near future, I hope to make it back to Mac and Cheese Egg Rolls.
Thompson's food truck has only been open for a couple of years, but they've already built a large following due to their presence in the local community. When they visited Orlando college, they always fell in love with it, so after they graduated college they decided to move there. As a college student, Kaleea started her food business and worked hard to perfect her seafood recipes. Their business is notable in Orlando for its passion and commitment. Be sure to follow them on social media to find out where they'll be next.
